Here is a new project I have done called ‘By a thread’, random colours of thread are hand wound onto a wooden walking stick.

Absolutely gorgeous.
I usually buy my sticks from http://www.clearcanes.com, but I could be tempted away from there by these. The cotton will give them a good grip, as well as being so very decorative.

the great thig is when one gets a rip in their clothing you are sure to have close to matching…if not matching thread.
